- Screens needs for churches as to nature, extent and
legitimacy. This determines what the real need actually
is.
- Prevents church duplication of existing services already
available in the community.
- Discovers if those requesting assistance are going
from church to church and "making the rounds."
Church Care puts an end to this by meeting legitimate needs
in another way or discovering instances of fraudulent
requests.
- Helps each church demonstrate unity with other Christian
Churches in the community in service to the poor.
- Helps generate untapped volunteer resources that already
exist in the local churches to meet the needs both within
and outside the church.
- Enables churches to prevent two unbiblical extremes
of either refusing to assist those outside of their
own congregation or wasting God’s resources by assisting
before the real need is accurately determined.
- Provides opportunities for churches to reach out with
God’s love to people in need.
- Provides direction to ways for long term self-help
solutions to those who are chronically dependent or
have multiple needs.
- Gives the Church the opportunity to evangelize among
the poor through service which gives life to the Christian
tenets and biblical teachings.
- Increases number of outreach church volunteers meeting
only legitimate needs and rotating assistance among
participating churches - Church Care is very cost effective.
- Prevents churches from building dependency in those
they assist by discovering problems at their root level.
Please note: Church Care does not take calls from the street,
and we do not accept referrals for need situations involving
rents and utilities from agencies or from churches not
in the church network.
Church Care Works!
The management of the system is computerized and in place.
The service offered is a pure and simple "plug-in"
for any church wishing to give their parishioners the
opportunity to do more than the food pantry, the clothes
closet, or the check book. Theoretically, every church
and every church member could participate in this service
outreach to touch the poor and lonely in a safe and effective
