How Church Care Helps Agencies

1. Generates untapped resources in local churches to assist those in need. Through Church Care, there is a way and a place to refer needs not addressed by the agency system.
2. Helps fill current gaps in service that exist in the community as it identifies specific types of volunteers that are needed.
3. Identifies caring individuals to come along side those in need in a self-help way to provide guidance out of dependence.
4. Shares the burden of meeting needs with many local churches.
5. Does not compete with agencies for government funds. Church Care does not request or accept government funds for operational expenses.
6. Does not duplicate existing services in the community.
7. Has a proven track record of working well to provide help where the agencies cannot.

Please note: Church Care does not take calls from the street, and we do not accept referrals for need situations involving rents and utilities from agencies or from churches not in the church network.
