Partial Participation - Screening Service
Church Care enables churches to refer calls for help to Church Care for a record check on the caller, for an in-depth telephone interview and information intake with the caller, and to receive a full e-report (PDF 78k) on the screening results before they commit to provide assistance. This is a necessary service to protect churches from being bilked in requests for money and money equivalents.

Full Participation - Parishioner Outreach Service
In addition to the Screening Service (see above), Church Care enables area churches, in a networking arrangement, to deliver non-cash, "hands-on" volunteer services to the poor and other needy on a referred, per case basis. Church Care screens the referred needs for legitimacy, do-ability and safety and then works to match the cleared needs to waiting church volunteers who have registered their gifts of talent and time. • Church Care's suggested annual support contribution is not a "fee for service" (as in paying per times your church uses the Church Care service). Church Care is a central clearing house - servant to the body of Christ. Your church's contribution is not given as to an in-church ministry, but as to a local mission outreach.
• Church Care operates without benefit of paid help. All staff are full or part-time volunteers from churches in the network. There are no paid staff or board members.
• Church Care office phones are manned six hours each day, Monday through Thursday (9:00 am - 12:00 and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm).
• Church Care's only means of support is the annual suggested contributions from participating churches and from individual Christians who see what we do and like what they see. Church Care receives no funding from World Vision or from any governmental entity.

Please note: Church Care does not take calls from the street, and we do not accept referrals for need situations involving rents and utilities from agencies or from churches not in the church network.

Suggested Annual Contribution (applies to both partial and full participation)

The suggested annual contribution is based on church membership. The amount is set low as to not burden any interested church - actually, in most cases, it amounts to just pennies per year per member. All church support, unless otherwise directed by the church, is applied towards operating expenses only (i.e., no capital improvements or equipment) which are budgeted by item and strictly maintained. Network growth alone is planned, eventually, to generate cash flows sufficient to provide abundantly all Church Care needs to be successfully about its business - "Helping Churches Help People".
